Antique and vintage decor is always my go to when decorating my home and others'. I believe in shopping second hand and hunting out that previously loved piece for the patina and charm. So today peonies, I thought I would share with you the pieces I use again and again when decorating for autumn.
These are my fall decor staples that I pull out to bring that autumn feeling inside. Some of this vintage decor is really season-less, but due to the colors or motifs it works particularly well for fall and pairs beautifully with fall foliage and warm amber or earthy hues. Let's delve in...
My 10 Favorites for Vintage Fall Decor:
No. 1 Majolica
Majolica ceramics are filled with soft earthy tones that speak so well to the autumnal palette. You can decorate your hutch, sideboard, or coffee table with these beautiful ceramics for a subtle fall feel. Think Wedgwood leaf plates, French oyster plates, and beautiful vases you can fill with branches of fall florals.

Similar Wedgwood biscuit barrel here - I love how these are so multipurpose! You can use for floral arrangements, as a wine bottle keeper, or for sweet treats.

No. 3 Vista Alegre or Mottahedeh or Andrea By Sadek Pumpkins
I adore these ceramic pumpkin dishes! Fill them with Halloween candy for a fun treat this time of year. The Vista Alegre or Mottahedeh ones usually sit on a swirling plinth and have gilt detailing like the one pictured above.
Here is a unique pair of floral painted VA ones, and this orange one is just so classic!

No. 4 Copper
Copper is always a classic decor material that looks good in traditional homes because of the rich, warm color. Think French copper pots and large wash tubs.
I also really adore the charming feel of English copper lustre! You can find it in brown and pink color combos, just pink, and brown and blue hues. The shine is so pretty, and the little jugs are perfect flower vessels. I have a number of options available in the shop!
No. 5 Fall Themed China
I totally believe in the power of setting the table with a seasonally appropriate china! With so much entertaining during the fall season, this can be a wise investment! Plus you can use it as decor in your hutch, china cabinet, or shelving. Snap up this lovely Indian Tree set from Royal Doulton here or this pastel dream maple leaf pattern here.

Everyone wants to cuddle up under a warm blanket and get cozy during the autumn months. I love the classic style of the wool plaid or tartan throws! They look beautiful thrown over the back of a chair, and you simply cannot get any warmer!

No. 7 Imari
Imari ceramics always feel autumnal to me -- probably because of all the orange enamels! If you want to bring in that Chinoiserie touch, then Imari is definitely the way to go for vintage fall decor!
These little jars would be sweet for a mantel display, and this big platter would make a statement. These English Mason's plates are gorgeous and would be fabulous for a hutch display this fall.
