Remodeling and Decor Inspirations
We’ve officially been in our new house two months! Here are some design inspirations for our remodeling plans:

I’m really inspired by the landscaping and portico shape. Image via Splendor in the South

I love the round entry table and black, white, and gold theme in this photo from This is Glamorous.

This plush velvet couch is to die for not to mention the overall color scheme! Image via James Michael Howard

Loving the two toned cabinets plus rustic farm elements with the stainless steel from designer Tommy Smythe.

Again, I am really into this pale blue and creamy white. Plus, I love the fabric print and headboard here. Image via Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles

As I finish this post, some important design themes are popping out at me: First, my desire for a black, white, and gold color scheme in the bathrooms and kitchen as I think this is such a popular color palette at the moment for these rooms in your home. Second, I want the house to feel light and bright with strong traditional elements – nobody wants a bleak and dull home, we want it to be vibrant and inviting! I’ve seen some gorgeous house plans on websites like TheHousePlanShop.com so I’m quite tempted to give them a call! I just want a large, vibrant home! Third, I plan on decorating with an eclectic blend of antiques and modern fabrics. We will be keeping some original elements like the marble entry and chandeliers, but the carpets will definitely be replaced with dark hardwood flooring. I know that this is going to be a lot of work and will require patience whilst it is completed, but thankfully it shouldn’t take too long as we are only changing what is already there, not adding anything. If you need more space, then you will probably need a home addition. Obviously, this will take longer and you will definitely need to bring in the experts – search for “home addition contractors near me” to find them. So whilst I understand our remodeling will take time, it won’t be as long as some remodels and so I can start to get excited about seeing the finished product! I also want to address the garden and add my own personal touch to it. It won’t be anything drastic, but I will focus on some landscaping, just to give my home some curb appeal. I was thinking of adding some siding to the outer parts, or some lovely flowers to really spruce it up, but I haven’t yet decided if I will carry this out myself or hire a professional to help. What do y’all think?
There is so much useful information contained in this post. Really smart witty way to say things. I really appreciate it. I will check back later for more great content. I can’t wait to read more in the future. Thanks again.
