I wish I could say I felt the cool crisp days of autumn just around the corner, but I fear the sweltering dog days of summer are here to linger. I can't wait to smell that first sign of autumn when the humidity drops and the leaves are about to start turning...there is this invigorating bouquet that permeates that first morning. Do you know what I mean?
I'm just glutton for all things fall, and since I'll just be counting down the days till it arrives, I thought I would share with you some of the autumn inspirations I've been eyeing.
First of all, this quote from C.S. Lewis just instantly reminded me of fall. Probably because it is my favorite season, I can't help but be thrilled by all the small seasonal joys from the brightly hued leaves to the crisp apple cider. I love that this quote points out the action...you must desire...you must seek...and you must knock. Embracing seasonal changes and quirks means you must partake in them!
The other images are filled with colors, patterns, textures, and ideas that speak to me of autumn. They feel lush and warm, cozy and peaceful, inspiring and comfortable! I also included a round-up of fall decor to get us going on our seasonal decorating. Everything from fluffy pillows to darling pumpkins and gorgeous wreaths to delicious scents.

Aida's photography and modeling is so dreamy and nostalgic. I want every piece from her "romping the fields" look from last year, especially those boots and the sheep! The paisley on paisley is so goooood.
Now for the autumn decor I'm eyeing...I'm dying to do something with velvety ribbons and copper hued leaves. The corn husk and wheat wreath would be stunning on a black door, don't you think?
I'm loving this eclectic mix of pillows with the purple Sister Parish print, tapestry-esque birds, and the cozy ruffled check for just $30. It feels very English country to me.
And of course I've got to get my pumpkin fix in there too! These minis would be darling scattered around side and coffee tables or in a long row down the dining table.
