Hydrangea Centerpiece with Hurricane Lantern

Hey there lovely peonies! Today, I wanted to share with you a quick and easy how-to post to create this stunning hydrangea centerpiece with hurricane lantern that I created for my al fresco summer dining tablescape the other day.
Not only is the arrangement quick and easy to do, but it is inexpensive and requires few materials, most of which you probably already own. I created this centerpiece in about 5 minutes and for $15! This arrangement is so versatile you could re-create this look for a variety of occasions using various flowers and different color combos.
Materials to arrange this hydrangea centerpiece with hurricane lantern:

- Glass hurricane or vase
- Flat white dish
- White candle – $3
- Medium bunch of hydrangea – $10
- Fern sprigs
- Oasis – floral foam for fresh flowers -$1.80 per block
Steps to create centerpiece:
No. 1 Start with a plain white dish in the center of your table.
No. 2 Then add a glass hurricane with large candle to the center. You could use a footed vase or large votive too.
No. 3 Cut floral foam into sever large rectangles and soak in water for a few minutes until saturated.
No. 4 Place foam around hurricane on dish.
No. 5 Cut hydrangea stems down to about 2 or 3 inches long and stick in floral foam at an angle.
No. 6 Work hydrangea stems around hurricane. Pull leaves out and fluff bunches to provide coverage.
No. 7 Nestle fern sprigs between glass hurricane and hydrangea turning up and angling in one direction.
No. 8 Light candle, set table and voila! A stunning hydrangea centerpiece perfect for al fresco dinner parties!
