Bows & Bunnies – An Easter Table
Celebrate a joyous Easter with a colorful Easter table filled with spring florals, vintage linens, cabbage ware, and Bavarian china + an easy napkin folding trick!

Once upon a time there were four little rabbits, and their names were -- Flopsy, Mopsy, Cottontail, and Peter.
I found this darling vintage tablecloth at a thrift store, and immediately thought of the mischievous little rabbit Peter and is good sisters Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cottontail. In the cloth pattern little fat brown bunnies frolic amongst the ivy and morning glories with streamers of blue ribbon twisting and curling about. I knew this was the perfect starting layer for a pretty and colorful Easter table!
The Easter Table Place Setting
Next came these charming vintage Hutschenreuther flower basket plates that I thought were the perfect blend of happy colors and sweet flowers. Layered on top of classic Bordallo Pinheiro cabbage chargers and a white charger the place setting is complete with some bamboo handled flatware.
Folding the pastel striped napkins from World Market into a bow with a twisted rope napkin ring adds a playful sweet touch to the settings. Learn the steps for this simple napkin trick below.
The Easter Table Centerpiece
Taking center stage is a gorgeous butterfly tureen from Jeanne Reed, and flanking it are two yellow, white, and blue floral arrangements filled with tulips, carnations, hyacinths, and snap dragons. The arrangements are nestled in wicker wrapped vases, which add to the garden feel of the Easter table.
Two hand painted Portuguese Easter eggs on either side of the tureen add to the spring feel of the tablescape. This pair is available to purchase in the curio shop!

Easy Napkin Folding Trick to Make a Bow
Step One
With the napkin turned right side down fold the cloth in to quarters by bringing the outer edge into the middle.
Step Two
Then fold the napkin in half again lengthwise.
Step Three
Then fold the napkin in half along the short edge.
Step Four
Now scrunch up one end and thread it through your napkin ring.
Step Five
Fluff the ends so they look like a pretty bow tie. Voila! You have a darling little bow to decorate your Easter table!
Thanks for all your tips and the table setting. I look forward to your blog posts and IG too!
Thanks so much Maureen! Happy Easter!
Oh, wow! Love the table! We are taking the family out for a dress up, festive, Easter Brunch as my husband promised once we were surer of the Covid thing and someone w/medical issues and who is over 80 would be safe. In spite of the going out to brunch in this iconic, historic Inn w/the whole family, I, LOL, STILL want to do a table! Crazy huh?
Oh, well, Easter is a bit early, and I will get the whole month of April to enjoy the Spring like (Bunnies and Bows) feeling I create! Right!? ;-D The napkins are much easier than something I tried once and lost the instructions. Actual “bunny rabbits” made of thin, linen, white dish towels at each place tied with satin ribbons at the “neck” !
You start this “project” before Valentines Day to make enough for each place setting! Kinda fun when watching TV, however, one of my cavs is usually on my lap and undoing as I go! P.S. How do I change my email address for my blog subscription w/out having to wait for the “burner” to get it reset and restarted, thereby missing posts?
You can absolutely enjoy your Easter table all month or spring long! Hope you had a wonderful day. I’m not sure what you mean by “burner.” Just join the list again with your new email.
