Family Room Fireplace Christmas Decorations
Come and explore my fireplace Christmas decorations where a gingerbread village is nestled amongst the holly and pine, copper lanterns shine, plaid ribbon twirls, and fairy lights twinkle.

Don’t miss the little elf who snuck in for some mischievous fun!

This Christmas garland idea and mantel decor is all about a classic holiday look with twirling plaid ribbon and gingerbread! The garland is made with mixed pine, holly, pinecones, and gold berries; it is the perfect base for beautiful ribbons and more.
I wanted to bring whimsy and charm to the fireplace Christmas decorations this year for our toddler James and gingerbread seemed like the perfect Christmas motif to incorporate. I already had some gingerbread decor from last year’s gingerbread forest look in the dining room, so I just need to add some traditional Christmas ribbons with this plaid and this embroidered red.
I strung a felt gingerbread house garland on top of the pine then used paper gingerbread house boxes on the mantel nestled amongst gingerbread trees. The copper lanterns (similar here) have become a staple on our mantel in this room – they fit so well with the room decor and stone fireplace. And voila…a classic and festive Christmas fireplace!

The little elf tried to toss all my pinecones around, gallop his pony through the field, and climb the ribbon streamers! Oh! And he thought the firebox was a great place to hide with his head stuck up in the flu! LOL…needless to say the baby fence is going back up immediately.

Wishing you a merry Christmas season!
