First Look – Christmas Decor 2025

The 2025 Christmas garland kits are here + I’m sharing a look at my Christmas theme for the living room and all the decor I’m loving to create it!

I cannot believe that we are in the middle of October already and it is time to share what I’ve been dreaming and scheming for my Christmas decor! There is simply no denying the magic of a home beautifully and thoughtfully decorated for the holidays. It just beckons you in and makes you feel all the warmth and cheer of the season. I’ve been known to put a Christmas tree in every room; tie a bow around anything that will stand still long enough; and sprinkle glitter everywhere during this celebratory time of year.

Where are my fellow Christmas people? πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈπŸ™‹πŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸ™‹

Don’t you just get that fluttery surge of excitement thinking about pulling out all your ornaments and draping the mantel in evergreen?

Gosh, it’s the best!

For the past several years, I’ve put together mood boards to gather my inspirations and materials together in one or two guiding designs based on my Christmas decor themes. Drum roll please……..

This year’s living room Christmas theme is GRAND BOTANICAL! I’m using my deep announcers voice, can’t you tell?

2025 Christmas Decor Theme - Grand Botanical mood board

Think amaryllis, magnolia, berries, fern, and evergreen draping everywhere! I’ve found several gorgeous ribbons that will suit the theme, including the 3 above: a pink, red, and green gingham (yes it’s back, sort of), a green and white velvet toile, and a floral embroidery. No this look isn’t new for me. I’ve been doing some version of this for the past several years, but that’s how you know it’s magic!

This year’s Christmas decor is traditional with a twist. I’m using lots of vibrant reds and greens with a strong dose of pink. Yes, I love pink for Christmas just see this from 2024 and this from 2023! I am always celebrating the holidays with pink — it’s my signature color! πŸ˜‰

I plan to incorporate my Rose Medallion collection more fully in the decor this year and add some glamorous elements like these elegant baubles from King of Christmas (c/o).

King of Christmas ornament in red with pearls from the mistletoe collection

Just look at those pearls! The mistletoe collection is sooooooo….goood! I am totally enchanted with these ornaments and so is James. When I was trying to get this photo the other day he crawled up on the daybed reaching his sweet little hand for the “ball” as he called it. “Ball…ball…BALL!” he chanted. Oh dear! I might be in trouble this year.

I was first introduced to King of Christmas last year when they sent me the queen flocked slim tree. I used it for my red and white Annalee themed tree, see here. To say I love this tree is a total understatement. The quality is amazing and there are so many branches y’all! Just perfect for all the decorations and ribbon I like to add to a Christmas tree. I even plan to use it in the living room this year.

Come see how the living room turned out in this post!

Grand Botanical on the Mantel – 2025 Christmas Garland Kits

Garland Kits Sold Out for 2025 Season! Watch this for a video tutorial teaching you how to get the look.

Of course the Grand Botanical theme will extend to my mantel garland and actually that is the design that came first as I was figuring out this year’s Christmas garland kits. Here she is…

2025 Christmas Garland Kit - Grand Botanical

The garland is a traditional Christmas look with cheer! It is elegant but bright, lush but playful. The garland mixes vibrant evergreen with classic magnolia for a lavish garland that wraps the mantel in charm, cheer, and tradition. Pretty pink and red amaryllis decorate the mantel top and a combination of red berries and glittering fern with sugar pinecones add texture and color to the garland.

I’ve used the pink, red, and green gingham, the green and white velvet toile, and hints of the floral embroidery in the garland, but there are 8 ribbon options total, and so many beautiful combinations to create. You can explore them all in the PDF Christmas Garland Kit Look Book! Right now the ribbon is reserved for the garland kit orders, but send me an email Katherine@penderandpeony.com if you want to order just the ribbon.

My 2025 Christmas Decor Picks

I will incorporate a number of vintage and antique finds into my Christmas decor – per usual. I’ve also got some beauties coming for the Curio Collected Shop for you all, but I have been looking around the web and checking out my favorite brands’ holiday collections too. The best pieces sell fast, so I wanted to share my decor picks with you early.

I just ordered these personalized stockings for the living room. I think they are charming and fit my Grand Botanical theme perfectly, and the reindeer are so cute for James! I’m also stocking up on soft ornaments like this Nativity and this angel for James’ special tree that he can decorate and play with in the den.

These pearl twinkle lights are in my cart, and I think this plaid bunting is darling. I also can’t stop thinking about these Liberty pattern paper Christmas trees. It’s never too early to order your personalized Christmas cards, and I am deciding between this pretty garland and this plaid bow.
