Renowned for its quality reproductions of historic china for the likes of Colonial Williamsburg and the White House, Mottahedeh replicated this 18th century eggplant from a Ch’ein Lung period box decorated in tobacco leaf. The eggplant is meticulously crafted using 27 different colors and undergoing 4 different firings. 1990-2000.
Size: plate 9”L x 5.75”W; eggplant is 8.25”L x 4”W.
Condition notes: tiny fleck of paint loss on the eggplant stem, see photo, could be firing flaw.
