19TH CENTURY VIENNA PRINT AFTER ZIEGLER, FRAMED & MATTED Here we see a popular promenade in the late 1700s in a park in the Leopoldstadt district of Vienna. The Pavilion can be seen in the distance. This park was converted from Hapsburg hunting grounds and opened to the public in the mid 1700s. It became a very popular outing in the late 1700s for the wealthy. The Pavilion still stands today and is a restaurant. Color stipple lithograph after 1783 engraving by Johann Ziegler (Austrian, 18th century). Size: frame 16”H x 18”W; sight 8” x 10”.
