Description

This is a joined pair of Rose Medallion vases, meaning they were not made to go together or made at the same time. But they are very close in appearance. The vase on the left is the younger of the two with a “China” mark on the bottom, dating it to 1891-1920. The vase on the right is older with no mark on the bottom, and this vase has more detail and finesse in the designs. It dates to 1860-1891.

Size: both 10.5”H.

Condition notes: both vases show age related wear to enamels and gilt.

Vase on left (1891-1920) has repair to top rim and chip to underside of rim. One of the people panels is scraped.

Vase on right (1860-1891) has chip to rim that has darkened. See photos.
