Description

Is this not a stunning bowl? Note the birds flying amongst the bamboo shoots and darling lanterns dancing in the sky.

This bowl has been repaired using the Japanese kintsugi method that reconnects the broken pieces using gold to create something new and more beautiful. Kintsugi encourages us to find beauty in the flaws. Circa late 19th century. Unmarked with blue circle on bottom.
