Coalport “The Country Cottage” Pastille Burner

Charming little cottage pastille burner from Coalport. These little ceramic houses were made to diffuse aromatic pastilles, diffusing bad smells. They were popular during the early Victorian era. The pastille was placed inside the hollow cottage from an opening at the back or by dropping it down the chimney. Circa 1970-1990.
