This footed platter has the most gorgeous coloring. You can really see how beautiful the earlier enamels were when Rose Medallion was first created for the export market. These footed platters are hard to find, and it is a wonderful example to add to your Famille Rose collection. Circa 1820 – 1860. No mark.
Size: 14” L x 11” W.
Very good condition with some wear to pink enamel on one side.
Rose Medallion is a Chinese export porcelain that originated about 1820. It was very popular in the United States and Europe with large dinner services frequently ordered. This pattern is part of the Famille Rose style.
