Pink & Green Fall Table

An autumnal tabletop layered in an unconventional blend of dusky pink and leafy green with antique copper luster, Bavarian china, Indian block print linens, and Italian crystal makes for an enchanting pink and green fall table!

The new flavors of fall are upon us with succulent fruits like figs ripening and a spiced palate of nutmeg, cinnamon, and clove begging to be used. Cooler evenings are ahead, and it’s the perfect time to invite dear friends over for an evening meal full of these spiced flavors.

I’m all about the deliciousness of autumn (see why here), but I don’t think you have to decorate with the traditional autumn color orange. Instead stay true to your style and use a color palette that reflects your home. For me pink and green is a color combo that always charms me and works well with my decor.

For autumn this year, I feel particularly drawn to this dusky shade of wood rose pink and so I decided to set a fall table playing with this hue.  Pink of course pairs elegantly with green, and I’m thrilled to be using my new flowering vine tablecloth from Katherine Young Home for this look.

I hope my pink and green fall table inspires you to be creative with your autumnal tablescape in a way that feels sumptuous and seasonal but a bit daring by using an unconventional color duo.

My Pink and Green Fall Table

I love a table mixed with old and new: grandmother’s heirlooms and modern day classics. This autumnal table is no different even as it embraces pink and green. The Bavarian china is a new to me pattern called Maple Leaf from Hutschenreuther. I was immediately taken with its soft colors and elegant racine scalloped rim. The maple leaf collection is available to shop here.

Layered under the plates are my linen fabric chargers that I made with hot glue and cardboard cake plates. See the DIY here.

A playful jumble of antique copper luster pitchers filled with the palest pink roses, sedum, and dried heather fill the middle of the table. Coppery gold pumpkins nestle amongst the flowers and handmade dip-dyed German candles in lilac and cream create that elegant flickering glow.

The pink and green fall table is grounded by this lovely Indian block print table cloth from Katherine Young Home’s new collection. The cloth was handmade in Jaipur just for her shop, and I’m ecstatic with the elegant design and versatility. I think it looks lovely here for autumn, but I can see using this at Christmas and Easter too!

If you are considering setting a tablescape for fall in pink and green, here are a few of my tried and true tricks for using this color duo.

Tips for using pink and green in autumn decorating:

No. 1 Mix with burnished metallics like copper and bronze

The richness of these coppery brown colors will offset the vibrancy of the pink and green, helping to create a more autumnal feel.

No. 2 Use fall motifs

Since pink and green don’t necessarily say fall to most of us, bring in classic autumn motifs like figs, pumpkins, and maple leaves to echo the season’s bounty.

No. 3 Let green be the background

Green envelops nature and is God’s neutral if you ask me, so I think it only makes sense to use it as the main color in the linens.

No. 4 Choose a pink that has lavender or mauve undertones

The lavender pink of heather and the color palette of the French silk ribbons around the napkins really spoke to me of fall. I think this color, while subtle feels dusky and soothing — perfect for an evening meal this autumn.

No. 5 Bring in cozy textures like velvet

Because pink and green could veer towards a spring like feeling, mix in rich textures that feel cozy to make the palette feel more appropriate for fall decorating.
