24 affordable grandmillennial wallpapers to hang anywhere in your home for that chic, traditional look!
I haven’t always been a fan of wallpapers to be perfectly honest. In fact, I grew up in a purple and blue chintz drenched bedroom that I absolutely despised for it’s girly stuffiness. Now, though, I would adore having that very same paper anywhere in my house. LOL…
I’m not sure when my decorating style took this dramatic shift, but in the past few years I’ve come to admire the possibilities wallpaper offers a space. It truly is a chic solution for decorating blank walls and adding a dash or more of color, pattern, and whimsy!
It is one of those tricky decor choices that can go horribly wrong or become outdated in the blink of an eye, so careful decisions must be made when choosing a pattern and style to hang.
I’ve been pouring over wallpaper samples the past few weeks searching for the right pattern to use in our entry and upstairs hall. I’m leaning towards a neutral palette in gray or beige with a botanical print much like the diamond trellis on the second row down under botanical papers.
Seeing so many charming patterns inspired me to share some of my favorite styles with you fellow decoristas that would be perfect for your grandmillennial space. Of course wallpaper can get tremendously expensive with popular styles easily costing as much as $300 a roll. This grandmillennial works on a budget that just doesn’t stretch that far and since you might be in a similar situation, all these patterns are affordable grandmillennial wallpapers under $150 per roll.

Botanical wallpapers are a charming way to bring the outdoors inside with out the hassle of house plants. There are a variety of options available from vintage chintz to leafy green ferns. I love botanical patterns for bedrooms, entries, and living spaces, and I’m especially attracted to these trailing vines.
Subtle

If you are looking to dabble in a patterned or textured wall, but uneasy with busy patterns, try something subtle like grasscloth or a soft small scale pattern. Grisaille style scenes like this butterfly and flowering branch paper might also be a good choice as it is an eye catching pattern but in neutral gray and black tones.
Blue & White

Bamboo motifs are one of those classical design elements that span styles and looks ever so chic in playful spaces that nod towards Chinoiserie. I love this pattern for wallpaper in a grandmillennial space, particularly the blue bamboo stripes, which are on sale for $40 a roll. The trellis patterns would look fabulous in a formal dining room.
