Easy DIY Pompom Earrings
Forgo the expense and make your own pompom earrings! This is an easy DIY – great for craft parties!
What’s not to love about pompoms? They are just so cheerful and whimsical. You cannot help but smile! Lately, I’ve been obsessing over the pompom jewelry trend, especially pompom earrings, so I decided to make myself a pair and share the DIY with you. These DIY pompom earrings are easily made and super cheap.
Buy a big bag of multi-colored pompoms and you can make a ton of these cute pompom earrings or use the pompoms for other fun crafts. I got all my supplies for these earrings for under $15, and I’ve made three pairs so far in pink, white, and blue (pictured here). The earwire packs usually hold about 10 pairs, so that’s like $1.50 per earring! When is the last time you bought a pair of earrings that inexpensive?
I promise these pompom earrings will be a big hit with your girlfriends too. I’ve got lots of compliments on them. This is a great DIY for a girls craft night just throw in some wine and you’ve got a great party!
DIY Pompom Earrings Tutorial
Materials:
Step One
Assemble your materials and decide which colors and size pompoms you want to use.
Step Two
Pull back the pompom fuzz to find the center and thread a headpin through the center string. Do not pull it all the way in or through.
Step Three
Put a small drop of hot glue on the end of the headpin and then pull the headpin in to the center of the pompom.
Step Four
Take the other end and curl around a pair of needle nose pliers. Make 1 1/2 or 2 curls. Squish it into a rounded shape with the pliers, if your curl is not very even.
Step Five
Repeat curl on other earring and make lengths as even as possible.
Step Six
Thread end of earwire through the curl you made at the end of the headpin.
Put on your new pompom earrings and head to the nearest mirror. I bet you can’t help but smile! Hehe…they are just so cute!
Partying at A Stroll Thru Life…Between Naps on the Porch…The Dedicated House…
[…] You could dress this wrap skirt up or down, depending on the occasion, and with the various colors in the stripes you could pair it with several different colored tops. For a day out strolling around town I paired it with my white sneakers, a v-neck white blouse, and fun blue satchel. With this style skirt, you need to take care and tie the bow tightly and position it off to the side, so the slit hits right, and you definitely need to wear a slip. For jewelry, I added my newly crafted pom pom earrings. That’s right…I made those cuties! I’m sharing the DIY here. […]
