Remodeling and Decor Inspirations

We’ve officially been in our new house two months!  Here are some design inspirations for our remodeling plans:

I like the idea of extending a porch across the front side of the house.

As I finish this post, some important design themes are popping out at me: First, my desire for a black, white, and gold color scheme in the bathrooms and kitchen.  Second, I want the house to feel light and bright with strong traditional elements.  Third, I plan on decorating with an eclectic blend of antiques and modern fabrics.  We will be keeping some original elements like the marble entry and chandeliers, but the carpets will definitely be replaced with dark hardwood flooring.  What do y’all think?

I want to hear from you lovely reader! What are your thoughts about this?
